David Holden, J.D.


David Holden has contributed his expertise in formulating creative strategies and implementing complex business transactions for a variety of publicly and privately held business organizations for more than 38 years.  A partner in a prominent Tulsa law firm for twenty-five years, since 1997 he has provided business consulting and legal services to clients while participating in investments with business partners. 

Mr. Holden is known for being a clear thinker, an effective results-oriented negotiator, and a visionary strategist.  Serving as the personal advisor to chief executives, he has helped them create effective strategies and negotiate successful results in business transactions including forming, purchasing and selling businesses; settling disputes and the securing of agreements between business owners and among co-owners; developing financial "work-outs" and restructuring troubled businesses; and aiding in the growth and development of successful enterprises. 

Takeover Business Experience.

Mr. Holden directed has the hostile takeover of a public held national bank. 

Family Business Counseling.

Facilitating the transition of wealth and power from one generation to the next, and managing the attendant strife among the members of several prominent families, Mr. Holden has worked with both the "older" and "younger" generations in these transactions.  His negotiations in these situations were undertaken with a view to achieving win-win results to the extent possible and with a minimum of public attention.  

Private Entrepreneurial Transactions.

Mr. Holden has implemented complex business transactions for private entrepreneurs throughout the United States and abroad, including mergers, acquisitions and joint ventures, and managing the litigation attendant to those activities.  

Problem Transaction Workouts.

Mr. Holden successfully worked-out many problem loans and other transactions following the oil and gas "bust" experienced in Oklahoma during the 1980s, the most significant of which involved restructuring a $110,000,000 credit with a six-bank group of national lenders. 

SEC and Public Company.

Mr. Holden directed multi-million dollar corporate acquisitions, divestitures, and related private financings and SEC-registered public offerings for six years for an American Stock Exchange listed company.
